Two years of education in a spectrum of scientific disciplines, followed by two years of specialised study at the Department of Physiology within the School of Medicine.
Awarded based on final-year research into the effects of cerebellar transcranial direct-current stimulation on motor performance in the lower limbs. Research was executed at the Trinity Centre for Health Sciences, St. James's Hospital, and was the sole focus of the latter-half of the undergraduate-program's final year. A literature review and research thesis were produced in the process.
Awarded based on performance within final-year viva voce - a presentation and defence of the student's final-year research project, followed by an examination of the student's general knowledge of physiology.
